For those of us who like old ships it would have been nice to have been given a bit more history about the ship. There was about 5 minutes worth at the beginning and told to follow up with staff if you wanted more but there seemed to be little knowledge amongst most staff

I was impressed by the level of professionalism, which made the whole experience very enjoyable. The crew made us feel most welcome, whilst also ensuring that the experience was safe and comfortable. I intend to buy a RedBalloon tall ship harbour cruise for my sister's 60th birthday this year.

Well organised, friendly, convenient location, congenial atmosphere, and highly suitable to combine with film at opera quays, or visit to MCA, or show at the opera house. Relaxed ambiance such that other participants = complete stangers, were happy to chat.
A stronger breeze would have been good, but a bit hard to arrange I guess.

After a week of rain we were lucky to have a perfect evening for our sail around the harbour.
The 12 people I booked for had a lovely time and most of us caught the train to and from our experience which made the event much more relaxing as we avoided the afternoon peak-hour crush.

My husband and I enjoyed our harbour cruise very much. It was extremely well run with friendly crew . Being on a "tall ship" meant that everything was very relaxed ( no fast moving and overly noisy engines) and we were lucky to have choosen the perfect evening with a beautiful sunset. Even though we have lived in Sydney all our lives I think we saw the harbour at its best from the deck of the " Southern Swan"

It was an overall amazing experience. From the moment that we boarded the ship the staff were friendly and welcoming. Sailing around the harbour and then dinner was beyond what we had expected, with a delicious variety of foods and drinks, then sailing back to the wharf with the sunset behind the harbour bridge was spectacular.

They did not have a record of the booking, but luckily we had the vouchers with us. Once on board it was a lovely experience both historically fascinating & amazing views. The crew were very friendly & knowledgeable & the ease with which they scaled the rigging was something else. The weather was on our side & we were treated to a spectacular sunset while we tucked into the BBQ. A great evening & very relaxing way to see the harbour.

The crew were very welcoming and seemed to enjoy having us all there - there were a lot of us on board. The experience was brilliant, the motorless sailing was wonderful and the ship behaved very well. The BBQ was so well done for so many people in such a small space. I appreciated being left to enjoy the sail by ourselves but for tourists or overseas visitors, the option of a sightseeing commentary would be an advantage.

It was a truly fun and educational adventure, I can recommend to all to come and enjoy this wonderful old tallship with an amazing history. We should all want to be involved in maintaining the history and traditions of our beloved Australia and keep it alive for all the generations of kids that follow. I only wish that at 70 I had no problems with my shoulders so I could have joined those climbing the masts. A big thank you to our daughter who gave this to us as a gift.
