Enjoy a full day adventure as you cruise to McLaren’s Landing and enjoy your time at the island’s resort. Try a few of the optional activities and indulge in a delicious BBQ steak and feast before heading off to explore the island’s untouched beaches and natural bush land!

Step aboard our luxury Tall Ship and sail out to South Stradbroke Island for a day aboard a genuine square rigger. Departing from Surfers Paradise, we’ll sail to a private resort at McLaren’s Landing, where your own beach awaits.

Once there, thatched Balinese huts provide shade from the sun and our friendly staff will do everything possible to ensure that you have a memorable experience. Enjoy a sumptuous Australian BBQ steak luncheon feast, consisting of fish, chicken, steak, baked potatoes, a variety of salads and fresh bread rolls.

During your time on the island, you’re free to try your hand at a number of optional activities (additional cost) including a 4WD tour, speed boat rides, jet skiing or parasailing.

At the conclusion of your full day experience, you’ll board our high-speed vessel and return to Surfers Paradise after having thoroughly enjoyed a day of fun in the Queensland sun!

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Session Length

Cruises take place every day of the year, except Christmas Day. Full day cruises depart at 9am and return at 4pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.

This experience is suitable for almost anyone who enjoys participating in outdoor recreational activities!

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one adult. We operate with approximately 40 people on the cruise.

Weather:

In the event of extreme weather conditions, this experience may be cancelled. In the event of a cancellation, we will endeavour to notify you as soon as possible. All cancelled experiences will be rescheduled for a later date.

Other Info:

During your time on the island, there are plenty of optional activities for you to participate in from jet skiing, doofer rides, 4WD tours, parasailing and jet boating (all activities are an additional cost payable on the day).

    Staff on the ship were very friendly and had a wonderful knowledge of the Gold Coast. Involved everyone in all activities regardless of age.

    My wife and I plus friends had a fantastic day aboard the MV" Sir Henry Morgan" and would recommend the day adventure to anyone. The full day with sailing and Island an Island stop over with other water activities, 4x4ing, BBQ just to name a few plus the odd drink or two. The skipper and his crew on the day were just great showing their multi skills in rigging sails, cooking, singing ect.

    My wife and I enjoyed the day,the boat ride was very informative ,thank you Peter and the crew who were very obliging, and the entertainment was great thanks to the dancing man should be more of it.The only letdown for me personaly was the food , one sausage,and if the steak was any thinner it would have blown away but overall it was a great day.

    Overall it was fantastic - only thing that could have made it better was if they had the sails up for more of the trip but this may have been wind dependent - I didn't ask on the day.

    Would have appreciated more sail up. Seemed to be under power a lot of the time - all the way back - for what is billed as a sailing trip.

    There was only one paddle boat and this was broken, with no ability to steer. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The food was delicious and there was no reason to go hungry that day!

    The Sailing Day was absolutely fantastic. I couldn't fault it in any way. Beautiful weather. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were great. My husband, myself and our 2 year old daughter had an amazing time and i will most certainly be recommending it to everyone! Well Done!

    It was a magical day. The crew were so friendly. The parasailing off the speedboat was fabulous. AND the ride in the float plane completed the adventure. Thank you for such a great day.

    Where to start, the perfect day trip to get away from it all! Relaxing sail, lovely island retreat, fantastic food, a day full of doing nothing or everything! The crew, Pete, Simmo & Carni were just great, it was like being around mates, thanks guys! To sum it up, Simply Awesome!

    We had a great day, it was well organised and the crew were awesome. They were friendly, helpful and a lot of fun. If I had to give a negative, some of the amenities and equipment at McClarens landing were a bit tired, they looked liked they could have some maintenance or revamp. But other than that, I found it relaxing and a great weekend escape, the food also from the buffet was delicious, plenty of it and good quality.

    All the people who looked after us were great fun and helped make it an enjoyable experience Enjoyed the morning and afternoon tea and the lunch, except my fish and my husband' steak were quite dry
