Wine cruises to the Swan Valley take you to some of the best local vineyards, from Sandalford Estate and Waters Edge Winery where you’ll enjoy premium wine tastings and even a stop for lunch at a riverside restaurant. These winery cruises are the perfect choice for an experience to remember!
Join us on board one of Perth's most enjoyable wine cruises! Your Captain and crew will ensure you are well looked after as you sail upstream into the upper reaches of the picturesque Swan Valley and enjoy interesting commentary along the way!
Enjoy morning tea soon after you board, followed by cheese and biscuits and a premium tasting of both Houghton wines and premium 'Wines of the Month' from local vineyards.
Afterwards, you’ll disembark the boat at the prestigious Sandalford Estate to sample some of their wines and there is also the opportunity to purchase any of your favourites. Afterwards, you’ll board the boat again before sampling more premium wines from the Swan Valley as you cruise back downstream.
On arrival at Waters Edge Winery, enjoy a delicious three-course lunch at the riverside restaurant overlooking the Swan River. Your meal is accompanied by music from a pianist and some surprise entertainment follows! Following lunch, there is an opportunity to further sample some more wines at the underground cellar at Waters Edge, the oldest winery in Western Australia.
Your winery cruise includes:
- Morning tea,
- On board wine tastings,
- A visit to Sandalfords and Waters Edge wineries to sample their wines, and
- A delicious 3-course lunch (with a choice from 3 mains) and sampling of premium wines at Waters Edge Winery.
At the completion of your winery cruise, you’ll be returned to Perth at approximately 4.45pm after having sampled some amazing wines and maybe even taking home a case or two of your favourites!
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Session Length
The cruise departs daily at 9.45am and returns at approximately 4.45pm, all year round. Summer weekend dates are particularly busy and should be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. All bookings are subject to availability. This cruise operates daily.
Guidelines:
You must be over 18 years of age to participate in this experience. Children are welcome if they are accompanied by a paying adult – children must be supervised at all times. You must be able to climb up and down stairs to access the boat.
Numbers:
The price quoted is for two people. We operate with between 70 and 120 people on the cruise. Winter cruises operate with a minimum of 20 people per cruise. If the cruise doesn’t run due to a lack of numbers, your experience will be rescheduled for a later date.
Spectators:
Not suitable for spectators.
Weather:
This experience is generally not affected by the weather. At certain times of the year (usually winter), if the Swan River rises, you may have to be transported to the wineries and riverside restaurant by coach as the boat is unable to clear the bridges along the river.
Other Info:
If you plan to drink, we recommend that you arrange public transport for the return journey from Perth to your accommodation or home.

A very pleasant day out. Staff were very good. Very much enjoyed the lunch. Was pleasantly surpised by the light entertainment on the return journey.

Everything about the cruise was great. the crew were both attentive, informative and entertaining. The wines tasted were diverse and accompanied by a tasty platter. Watersedge provided a good lunch, with the opportunity to meet othes of the group.

A great experience, to see the river from a different place or angle not just from the road and the commentary from the skipper was great. The service from the crew was unbeatable,a well oiled business and I am proud to be West Austrailian and have a chance to see it by the riverways.The wine experience was the iceing on the cake,my wife and I thank you for the experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, we both found it to be a very relaxing enjoyable day and will be doing it again.

The actual cruising was very relaxing. It was a little early in the morning to start the wine tasting when we did and although some cheese/biscuits were provided with the tasting I would have preferred the lunch to be earlier than 1.30 and then more wine tasting than the other way around. The entertainment was enjoyable although too loud on the boat.

We had a really nice day. Even though the itinerary had been changed it still was great. Staff where very entertainment and the service was very good. The different winery and lunch where very nice and no one could complain that there was not enough food or drink. Have already recommended it to my friends.
