Cooking Italian in Melbourne is so easy - you just gotta learn how! Set in a 100 year old property, the atmosphere is perfect for absorbing the fascinating concepts. These first-generation Italians want to teach you how to utilise great Yarra Valley produce - it's Mediterranean for the modern world!
Cooking is as much an art as a science - so don't try to learn from a book! These Italians will show you how enjoyable cooking can really be, not through strict instruction but through sharing knowledge and enjoying your time together!
You'll prepare a three-course Italian meal (served with a glass of Yarra Valley wine) and then sit and enjoy it with your new friends in the class. We use fresh, seasonal produce sourced from the Yarra Valley, and we'll provide you with all the recipes so you won't have any trouble harnessing your new skills at home! Sit back with an Italian espresso coffee afterwards, and reflect on a job well done!

Located at the entrance of the picturesque Yarra Valley, 50 minutes drive east of Melbourne.
Session Length
This experience is 4 hours - so you'll learn tonnes! These banquet classes are run on Saturdays 10.30-2.30, but private lessons are available at other times if you like!

These classes are for beginners. Please advise any food allergies when booking and we're more than happy to accommodate! Under 18s need to be accompanied by a paying adult.
Numbers:
Classes will have up to 14 people, and we can easily arrange other times for group or corporate bookings.

I thought the Cooking School, including our very experienced leaders for the day, Hilda, Laurie and Sharon were just wonderful. They were very natural facilitators, really passionate about their heritage and good Italian food. I not only had lots of fun, I really did learn some great new skills. Thanks so much!

Very well organised. Had a fabulous time. Never made pasta dough before so it was a great first for me. I did have trouble redeeming my gift voucher on the internet and had to end up ringing but apart from that it was a great experience.

The cooking was a terrific experience. Even my husband had a ball. The atmosphere at the venue was just beautiful and the staff on hand did a wonderful job making us all feel welcomed. The food we all cooked was just delicious, the company was great. All in all a great day out. Thank you.

The Italian cooking class was terrific! You were given lots of little tips and tricks, with great hands on practical experience. The entire team were wonderful and I can’t forget the food, it was delicious.

It was a great experience for my husband and I.. we enjoyed it so much... and will sure book for another type of cooking class next time.

Hilda who ran the class was fantastic. You could tell she genuinely wanted to impart her knowledge of cooking on the participants in her class. The people assisting her in the class were just lovely, very friendly and helpful. My friend who also attended the class has some dietary restrictions, which unfortunately we had completely neglected to advise the organisers beforehand. However, despite not having any prior notice Hilda made a special meal for my friend. I was also particularly impressed...Hilda who ran the class was fantastic. You could tell she genuinely wanted to impart her knowledge of cooking on the participants in her class. The people assisting her in the class were just lovely, very friendly and helpful. My friend who also attended the class has some dietary restrictions, which unfortunately we had completely neglected to advise the organisers beforehand. However, despite not having any prior notice Hilda made a special meal for my friend. I was also particularly impressed with the professionalism of the class and surroundings, and the focus on cleanliness. I would definitely recommend the class and actually look forward to taking another one!

I thought the day was fantastic and well worth it, the only suggestion I would have for Hilda and the team, would be to have some one from the winery match the wines with the three course. I think this would have added real value to the day.

It was a very good experience. Learnt alot. The experience providers were excellent and very generous in sharing their knowledge and information on Italian cooking. Came out out class feeling very confident that I can create such meals for my family.
