This beer and BBQ class will have you hosting the best barbies ever! Learn everything from meat and seafood cooking to what beers to serve with your food. This is a completely hands on and practical experience with friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Have a great experience and gain a skill for life!

Your BBQ Cooking class commences with a beer on arrival. Aprons are provided to all students to get into the mood for cooking up a storm!

Our experienced chefs introduce themselves and outline what is to be achieved from the day. In our Beer & BBQ lesson, we cover all things entertaining with a diner-party style menu that is matched with boutique beers to ensure we will really impress when we next entertain at home. We then get straight in to demonstrating the first dish where all participants are integral in the production, management and serving of all dishes.

Sit down together as group to share in our first creation with a detailed beer tutorial matched to our first course. We then embark on our next course covering BBQ myths and secrets, and we work together via an initial demonstration to achieve our next course together. All participants are then given the tongs and lifters to re-create their meals with hints and tips from our experienced chefs.

We'll look at the how to achieve really moist and crisp seafood and meat dishes, including tips and hints to ensure we are purchasing the freshest possible product. We again enjoy a detailed beer tutorial matched to our lunch with hints to best beers and wines to serve when we next fire up the BBQ!

Session Length

Morning & afternoon sessions available on weekends. Morning session starts at 11.30am & afternoon session starts at 3.30pm. This experience goes for 3 hours.

    Very friendly and knowledgeable chefs. Particularly enjoyed learning a lot of 'tricks of the trade' which are never available in any cookbooks. Variety of beer was excellent, could have been a touch colder, but it was a very hot day.

This will also promote talking between participants. I come from a town of 10000 people annd when I finished the course and was standing out the front waiting for cab ,the couple of people there chatting found that ones's partner came from out west and the other guy there is the physio in the town that I went to 5 or so years...

    This was a great experience, very informative and held in relaxed surroundings. Cooking and preparation area needed to have fans - became very warm and steamy. The presenters ( Tony & co.) were very approachable, easy to relate to and answered all our questions. A great learning experience.

    It was very informative and practical. The chefs running the day were excellent. The food was of a very good standard. I came home and the next day cooked the main meal that we were shown and it turned out very well, my wife and family were impressed. The only very slight criticism would be that many bottles that were consumed and I couldn't see that they were going to be recycled. I would like to think that the environment would be considered.

    Sensational experience, learned a lot neat tips and tricks when it comes to cooking with a barbeque. Ben, Phil and the team were fabulous hosts for the day and the atmosphere was as described - just like having a BBQ at Ben's place. Will definitely be recommending to all my friends and will be attending some of the other cooking classes on offer. Now the question is not, what can I cook on the BBQ but how will the BBQ improve this meal!!
