Bed and breakfast and ballooning – the best things in life start with B! After a relaxing weeknight evening at our B&B in the Hunter Valley, you’ll be whisked off on a magical hot-air balloon flight. From the basket of the hot-air balloon you’ll watch as the sun lights the land below.
The four-star bed and breakfast offers the very best in comfort and accommodation. Your room will be complete with a queen bed, ensuite, TV, R/C air-conditioning, private external room entrance and internal entrance to the breakfast/common room.
After a relaxing evening in the Hunter Valley, you will arise bright and early for your hot-air balloon flight. It is just an eight minute drive down the road to Cessnock Airport where you will be met by your balloon crew. After a cup of coffee and a safety briefing you will be transported to the launch site.
Once at the launch site you can choose to either help set the balloon up or stand back and watch or take photos. Once the balloon is inflated and standing upright, you will be asked to climb onboard to prepare for lift-off!
Hot-air ballooning is a magical experience. You will be amazed at what you can see from the basket of the balloon. From the air you will look down upon the river and patchwork of local vineyards and forest. It depends on the direction of the wind as to exactly what you will see on the day.
After your flight you will return to the B&B where a continental breakfast will be awaiting you!

Session Length
This experience is for an overnight weeknight stay at the B&B between Sunday - Thursday nights ONLY. The duration of your flight will be approximately one hour and the whole ballooning experience will be three hours. Check in after 3pm and enjoy a late check-out of 11am.
Guidelines:
You must be able to stand unsupported for one hour and be able to climb in and out of the balloon basket. Women over 12 weeks pregnant are not permitted to fly. We also need to know about any injuries or recent operations before you fly.
Numbers:
The price quoted is for two people. There will be a maximum of 10 guests at the B&B and a minimum of four and a maximum of 16 people in the balloon during your flight.
Weather:
This experience may be affected by the weather. If the flight is cancelled due to bad weather only the flight may be rescheduled.

The Organization & set-up very professional & informative. At no time did we feel uncomfortable or unsafe. What a wonderful experience. It was a gift from our children for my wife's 60th who has always wanted to do it and it didn't disappoint. James was very helpful and we were lucky to have nice weather. Robyn at the B&B was also very bubbly and a great help. Wonderful breakfast after the Hot Air Balloon. In all it was a great day and we would highly recommend it. Thank you all at Red Balloon. Wow one of the best if not the best few days away we've had loved the balloon flight very professional the staff were good fun made our experience something we'd reccommend to family and friends. We also extended our stay and took in the sights had lots of great photos to show everyone at home. Were very impressed with the accomodation and services and the surrounding area. Look forward to doing it again. Thankyou to all your staff.

The bed and breakfast was a nice place to rest and relax. Robyn was extremely welcoming and friendly and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The hot air ballooning was an amazing experience that was enhanced further by out pilot Matt. He was informative, friendly and fun and overall has a great personality suited to taking groups up in the air. The food for our champagne breakfast was delicious and well prepared. This was definitely an experience not to be missed.

The Balloon Flight was absolutlely amazing! The views of the Hunter Valley from above were just breathtaking, not to mention my Partner asked me to Marry him while we were up there so that made the experience that much more memorable.

The ballooning was fantastic. 5:00am is not my best time of day and arriving at Petersons Champagne house in the dark was daunting and exciting. Everything was well organised and everyone was friendly and professional. A fantastic experience!

Steve was informative, fun and friendly.l I'm sure he could not be better. Gorgeous breakfast and information afterwards and lovely photo to show the family. I have emailed all four of our children to thank them for the experience (it was a birthday present) and asked them can I go again next week.
